The Everlasting
Mountains

Collection / Historical Drama
John Nash journeys back to England before the first shots of
the Revolution are fired. Rebecah Brent, a young woman who has known little
more than the solitude of an isolated manor, has lost her father and is now
under the control of a domineering patriarch.
As their romance unfolds, they become trapped in a
slanderous scheme forged by Rebecah’s uncle, Sir Samuel Brent. The door is
rapidly closing to return to the Colonies, forcing Nash to leave England
and return to a land immersed in one of the most infamous Indian wars in
Colonial history. When an unselfish request is made by Nash’s father, Rebecah
flees the entanglements her uncle in order to be reunited with the man she
loves.
Can Nash protect his beloved from a renegade who has no
allegiance to any nation, tribe, or creed, wanted for robbery and murder, who
has vowed vengeance? In Thorns in Eden
and The Everlasting Mountains, love
and faith are the sustaining forces that cannot be overtaken by the vines of
adversity.
As the firebrands of the Revolution grow hot, they marry and
work together to build their estate, Laurel Hill. Facing a strange new world,
Rebecah experiences the prejudice of being English, but finds friendship and
acceptance in the wilds of the Maryland
frontier. John Nash leads a band of rangers who protect the frontier families
from Indian attack. His friendship with Chief Logan has not prevented the
Indian War from reaching their peaceful home along the lush hills of the Catoctin Mountains.
Rita Gerlach writes inspirational historical fiction with a
romantic bent, with unique settings in both America
and England.
She lives with her husband and two sons in a historical town nestled along the
Catoctin Mountains in central Maryland.

First of all, that trailer looks excellent! Where do you go to church? And secondly, I just read Rita's Beyond the Valley, my first book by her, and loved it. These look great. Your prizes are very generous. No need to enter me, I just wanted to stop by and say hi!
ReplyDeleteKathleen, thank you for your comment, and for reading Beyond the Valley. I'm so glad you liked it.
ReplyDeleteHi Ladies--
ReplyDeleteI've read all of Rita's books, and I have to say that I did especially enjoy Beyond the Valley. Thank you both for stopping by.
Oh, and I'm glad you enjoyed the trailer. The story was co-authored by another church member; he wrote it with the guy who wrote and directed The Secret of Jonathan Sperry. It was filmed in my community, all within seven miles of my home. Hope you get a chance to see it, either in theaters, or on DVD.
That is a gorgeous cover! And you can't beat a 2 in 1 book! Pat, you've done it again, making one of your beautiful dolls. Was she made for a certain book or just for that era? In any case, definitely put me in the drawing. My Adalia doll needs a friend. ;-) Oh, and King's Faith looks good.

Hi Chaplain Debbie--
ReplyDeleteThank you for being so faithful by stopping in and discovering more about Rita's books and the King's Faith movie. Re: the doll--she'd just made for the era. Sometimes it's difficult to pick one of the heroines, especially if, like Rita, she has several!
God bless you!
Love that the male lead character is John NASH. Thanks,Rhonda Nash-Hall
